 We took the train to Chicago and spent a few days there.  We went to see the Blue Man Group, a musical of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, a nighttime light show at the zoo, and we visited some restaurants too.   It was a quick trip but we had fun exploring. The winter band concert was the first time that Levi and I played in the same concert at school.  The 5th graders were in the first session of the evening and the 8th graders were in the second session of the evening.   Levi's band did well especially since it was their first official concert.  My band also did well.  We have progressed a lot during our time in junior high band.  We were overdue for Crumrine family pictures since the last formal ones that we had were taken before a couple of the youngest cousins were born.  We found a date for pictures and cookie baking on the same day and it worked out great. 

Every year we attend a company Christmas party at the Children's Discovery Museum.  I have officially aged out for the kid tickets so mom had to buy me an adult ticket.   We are too old for some of the exhibits but we still like to look around and do some of the activities there.   Levi and I sat with Santa again this year and learned that the bench is getting too small for both of us to sit with him at the same time!
